What is a Peaberry?

As with any industry, the coffee industry has it’s terms and unique aspects that make it what it is. Peaberry is one of them.

About 1 in every 10 coffee beans is classified as a peaberry. It’s a botanical anomaly that results in the bean forming as a whole, instead of the typical two halves. Here, we’ll show you the difference:

Now, there’s some coffee enthusiasts that insist the peaberry has a magical quality and vibrant and distinct taste, while you also have naysayers that insist it tastes no different than any other coffee.
